The megalithic tomb of Ca na Costa dates from around 2000 BC and was discovered in 1974, proving that Formentera was inhabited in the Bronze Age. Its circular chamber of large stone slabs is ringed by concentric circles, which give it a star-like look; locally it is called Es Rellotge. The Consell calls it the oldest megalith in the archipelago. Visit early in the morning or at sunset, out of the heat (formentera.es).
