Ibiza is 30 minutes away by Baleària’s fast ferry, with departures every 45 minutes (balearia.com); Trasmapi and Aquabus also sail. The ferries arrive in Ibiza Town, below Dalt Vila, the walled upper town.
Getting there
Baleària, Trasmapi and Aquabus sail from La Savina to the port of Ibiza. Check times on the operators’ sites.
Dalt Vila
The walled upper town climbs above the harbour; the views from the walls take in the port and the island.
Baleària gives the crossing as 30 minutes, with departures every 45 minutes.
Our advice: an early boat, a morning in Dalt Vila, lunch in town and the sunset ferry back. Our sister guide, the ULTIMATE Ibiza Island Guide, covers the island in depth.
