La Savina is the island’s only port. The ferries from Ibiza and the mainland tie up here, the yachts lie in its two basins, and the hire firms line the quay. Behind it lies the Estany des Peix lagoon; to the north, the road and the Green Route run to the salt flats and Ses Illetes.
The port
Baleària, Trasmapi and Aquabus sail from Ibiza; Baleària also sails from Dénia. Marina de Formentera, Marina La Savina and Port Formentera share the basins.
Around the lagoon
Hostal La Savina is by the Estany des Peix; Can Carlitos is on the beach on the Carrer de s’Almadrava; the natural park’s visitor centre is at Can Marroig.
Every journey to Formentera begins and ends at La Savina.
To the beaches
Green Route 1 runs 3.3 km to Ses Illetes, and the L3 tourist bus leaves from the port in season.
Our advice: collect your bike at the port and ride straight to Illetes.
